As I peer down at my feet,
a small piece of fluffy down
floats
and spins
dips
and rests upon the tip
of a single
blade of grass

Justification
I am told
that everything happens
for a reason,
which seems so profound
when I look down upon it.
How is it that these simple words
comfort me?
Why have they not angered me
until now?
A reason is just
an excuse
a game we humans play
an explanation
out of our ignorant need for one
A reason is the because
in an answer
-the simplification
of all life's programs
We can always split it up
But I live next door to investigation
that everything happens
for a reason,
which seems so profound
when I look down upon it.
How is it that these simple words
comfort me?
Why have they not angered me
until now?
A reason is just
an excuse
a game we humans play
an explanation
out of our ignorant need for one
A reason is the because
in an answer
-the simplification
of all life's programs
We can always split it up
But I live next door to investigation
